Windows Sound Files

We recently had Corey LaRiviere out for a photoshoot. While we were at it, we took her to the recording studio and got her to do some sound files for a Windows Sound Scheme. She liked the idea and we had a lot of fun. We had a great time coming up with ideas for different Windows events. These sound files are CD quality and sound fantastic. Corey has a wonderful sweet and sexy voice. You just have to hear it.

Asterisk - "Don't Stop"
Critical Stop - "Oh yeah, right there"
Default Sound - "Don't do that."
Exclamation - "Get that thing away from me"
Exit Windows - "Don't leave me now, you're missing the best part."
Program Error - "You're hurting me but I love it"
Question - "You want me to do what?"
Start Windows - "Hello there, it's so good to see you. Now tell me what's your pleasure"
System Default - "Mmm, how'd that feel?"
Empty Recycle Bin - "Why are you throwing that way?"

To install these files on a Win 95/98/2000 machine click on the icon to download:

Remember where you downloaded them. You will need WinZip or some other program to unzip them. If you have WinZip installed you can just double click the file in Windows Explorer.
UnZip them and put them into a directory such as c:\MultiMedia Files\. The important thing is to remember where you put them.

Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Sounds. This is where you can choose what sounds you want for each Windows event. You can even sample the sounds there.

The files contained here are named for the particular windows event they were recorded for. Or at least they are a suggestion. We even threw in a giggle and "Wooo!".

Warning: Do not have the kids in the room when you listen to these.

These are JPG images and may have to be converted to BMP to set as wallpaper on older versions of Windows.
